Open for Summer 2026. If you grew up in the 1980s or 1990s, you might remember Pizza Hut’s “Book It!” program that rewarded children with free pizza for reading. That program has returned for summer and is accepting free enrollments through the Camp Book It! mobile app for iOS and Android.
During June, July, and August, any child who meets the reading goals set by their parent can earn a free Pizza Hut® single-topping Personal Pan Pizza®* at participating locations. Use the BOOK IT!® Mobile App to set goals, track progress, and redeem rewards.
* Limit of 5 Personal Pan Pizza® certificates per family per month. One certificate may be earned per eligible child per month for meeting their reading goal.
During the school year, Book It! typically runs through classrooms or is available to homeschooling families, but the summer Camp Book It! is open to all age-eligible children from Pre-K through 6th grade. The app lets parents set individual reading goals (a common benchmark is about 20 minutes per day). When a child completes 15 days of reading within a single calendar month, they reach the program goal and a prize code is issued by email. The code can be used online, which makes it simple to apply to a new order or to add to an existing one for pickup.
For kids, the Personal Pan Pizza is a fun, tangible reward—they see it as a special treat they earned themselves. Many families combine Camp Book It! with other summer reading incentives, such as local library programs and bookstore initiatives like the Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program, to keep children motivated and reading throughout the break.
Enrollment is free, and the mobile app handles goal-setting, progress tracking, and reward redemption, making it an easy way for parents to encourage regular reading habits over the summer months.
